Ranchitaphat Thatsiriworakul

Know as Ranchy's is a Mien visual artist born in 1993 in a small Mien village in the northern region of Thailand. As a member of the Iu-Mien people, whose origins trace back to China, her heritage has deeply influenced her artistic journey. Her ancestors migrated through Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, and her parents were born and raised in Laos and Thailand, where they are recognized as hill tribe iu mien peoples.

 

Ranchy's artistic passion began in her childhood, leading her to pursue formal education in the arts. She holds a degree in Fine Art from Pohchang Academy of Art, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin in Bangkok, Thailand.

 

In 2021, Ranchy's showcased her first  exhibition, focusing on her Mien culture, at Sathorn 11 Art Space in Bangkok, followed by an exhibition in France in May 2021, and in Vietnam for her watercolour art exhibitio and more in Thailand.

 

Currently She's based in Germany since 2020, Ranchy's works as a freelance artist, creating in a variety of mediums, including acrylic, oil, pencil, and watercolor. Her artwork is deeply influenced by her tribal Iu-Mien heritage, which serves as both a personal identity and an artistic inspiration. Through her art, she aims to preserve and share the rich cultural traditions of the Mien people, offering a visual narrative that connects the past with the present.
